    Big screen tax wright off?

My 3 year old Hitachi 53 in HDTV just broke down on me for the second time and it is out side of it's factory warranty. The repair shop said it is going to cost $700 to fix ( I paid $3,300 for it!) and I just to him dont bother. I have ordered a new tv and now I need to get rid of this one. Is there any way I could get some sort of tax wright off for it if I donate it to the Salvation Army or something like that? Thanks.

    of course...

Any sort of charitable donation is available for a tax write off. However, you might just be better off selling the thing for a few hundred bucks. I know If I could get a TV like that and get it fixed for cheap, I'd probably buy it and its alot easier than getting a tax write off. Besides many charitable organizations won't take it if it is broken.

Yeah I think your right Dave. Even if I only get $100 for it, thats better than nothing.
