Best entry level DVD jpeg player?
Im perfectly happy watching dvds from my sons xbox. My dad is happy with a handful of channels because he only watches the news. Yes I know.. we dont get out much.. lol

I want to get dad a dvd player which can also play cds with burned Jpegs. No whistles or bells. Just quality.

My first choice was the sony DVP-NS55P. Are there any better entry level players with jpeg capabilities?

    Thanks for your time.

There are several DVD players on the market today that will outperform the Sony player but it depends on how much your budget will allow.

JIm Clark seems to like it, but personally I would spend $50 less and get the other one to get a taste of SACD. Not sure if they'll play jpeg but it might, Trying some research on them.

Thanks guys. But since dads birthday is coming up soon. I ordered the sony DVP-NS55P. For less than 70 bucks and a free netflix trial. He can get a taste of whats available. But I dought he will use it.
