    Audio Cabinet

    Hello again,

My son is turning 1 and after some compromise with my wife it looks like I am going to be giving up my current audio rack for something enclosed. Any thoughts on the BDI Mirage 9822 versus Salamander S40 series. My concern is really wire management. I can't imagine heavy duty cables work real well in these cabinets. Or, do I just leave the back panel off. I hate my current rack so I am willing to compromise. Any suggestions?

Personally I vastly prefer the looks and versatility of the Salamander line. You are probably aware that in addition to being able to leave the back open, you can configure it with mesh front/side panels. Any increase in ventilation is going to be a good thing. Not a big fan of glass in a/v racks either, especially with young children. "Virtually shatter proof" is not the same thing as shatter proof.
