    Question anybody hear or have a Columbia HD-95 Projector?

    im looking at one for around $500. i want a projector that is hdtv ready and has good picture.

    A manufactered suggested retail of $4000 and they are selling it for $500???? Stay away, stay very far away!

    When you start that low, you lose all projector flexibility and total lack of quality. I cannot think of a single $500 projector that actually looks good. Those cheap "presentation" projectors make video look like crap.

    You need to invest about $2k before you get a decent projector with flexibly to cover all kinds of setups. $500 is just no going to cut it, invest in a flat panel for that price.

    No, not really. Remember, the bulb is going to cost you, and they are not cheap. When buying used, you do not know how the bulb has been used, or for how long.

    You have two choices with $500 being your budget. Save your money so you can get a decent projector, or buy a flat panel. $500 gets you a poor performing "presentation" projector with no way to adjust it for your installation.
