    Advice on new 5.1 systems-where to go?
    I am a rube when it comes to home theater. I have a 2 channel system, but the tube amp is not ideal for this, and having that big TV in the center for music listening is just wrong. I bought a 50inch Sony LCD TV several months ago, so it is time for a receiver and speakers to compliment. Most of the "box" systems at the chain stores look pretty cheap, even some of the ones that have a high "retail price". Where do I go from here? Thanks. Mike D

    Hmmmm, I don't know. My experience with quality 2 channel stuff tells me that I would be happy with waiting until I know what I want and I can afford it. I will still have my music system for music listening, so I think this home system is mostly for movies. I would think that I could get a quality speaker package for $2500? A decent receiver for under $1000?

    What size (dimensions) room will the system be going in? Any openings into other rooms? If so, what are there dimensions?
