Adding 2 extra speakers to my HT

Hello- I currently have a 5.1 HT set-up in my living room using a Yamaha 5760 as my receiver. What I would like to do is have speakers in my garage as well. I would like to be able to do the following-

1. Listen to music just in my living room (where HT is set-up)
2. Listen to music just in the garage (only plan on having 2 bookshelf speakers)
3. Listen to music in both garage and living room

I'm sure the Yamaha has speaker A and B options. Is that how these options are used?
