hi. i had to choose between de Yamaha RX-V793 reciever or the Marantz SR-5000. I need help!!!!!!!!!!!! Same money, same budget!

I'm not terribly familiar witht he 793 model, however I have owned products from both manufacturers and enjoyed both tremendously. For what it's worth, I noticed a marginal improvement in sound quality with Yamaha...plus I actually enjoy some of Yamaha's DSP's. If you are comparing the 793 to the SR-5000 though, go with the Marantz because of its DTS capability. Any sound quality advantage Yamaha has over Marantz is probably minimal at best, or completely subjective on my part.
