    Yamaha receiver RX-397
    Hi to everybody ,

    recently I Bought Yamaha receiver RX-397 and I notice strange CLICK sound everytime I turn on and turn off receiver. Is that regulare procedure with Yamaha receivers or what?

    is the clicking sound coming from the receiver itselves? or through the speakers?

    if it's only in the receiver, it's normal, just the relais switching on & off...

    Many recievers have a function that holds power from the speakers until it has been stabilized so you don't get a big "thump" as the amp powers up. When the speakers are able to be powered by a stable level the click will happen. This could be what you are hearing.
