I think you'd be better off just pretending to be dead, than using that line... Especially since that line might result in you not needing to pretend...

Good point tho. My "box of junk" has close to a grand of various cables ,
obsolete because of HDMI. Mostly component, but also coax, toslink.
Quite often your cables can be one of the higher dollar items you can buy(a good reason
to not hide them that well).:1:

IF i ever buy an audio research reference 40 preamp and the appropriate amplifiers and speakers to go with it, i wont be using radio shack wiring.

my income would be at the level that i could make whatever decision i needed to be that $50 or $5000 cables.

as for now, i use what i have acquired over the decades of this illness, some of which i have paid medium money for ($100) and some i have won at the audio society ($1000), and some (kimber 8tc speaker wires-20') i got for a song ($50) by being in the right place at the right time.

if you can hear the difference and its better, use it whether its cost is higher or lower. a wire isnt going to transform your system like a speaker or great preamp (or other component) will but it CAN make a difference.

Just in case some persons missed the point: this thread is a joke. It is not a serious discussion about cables...

To some any discussion about differences in cables is a joke.
BUT even raised in a joking matter cables are very important, even those of us who
find little difference in most will agree that nice cables can be the difference between
a good and bad system. SOME SPEND more on cables than anything else!!!:1:
