What is IDT audio? do i need it?

I just got a brand new laptop that has vista...they have a lot of junk on here I KNOW i don't need, but then i came across IDT audio...what is it? do i need it?

Where did you get a new laptop with Vista? Vista hasn't been on new laptops for several (5?) years.

IDT audio is probably the software for the onboard sound chip.
