    CD's, we don't need no....

    ...stinkin' CD's.

Just got the Squeezebox, all black and shiny!!!!

Turned and old Athalon 750 into a NAS using Clark Connect Linux and have all my CD's ripped to FLAC.

I have to say thanks to all those people who posted little tidbits of information about the SB here at AR so I could get it as good as it sounds at the moment.

Can it get any better, I don't think so.

Oh, and did I say I was having a beer.

Yeah network streaming is great. I love it. I use my Xbox 360 to do it which works pretty much like the Squeezebox and I love it. And of course the 360 also does HD gaming and plays HD movies! But streaming is the way to go. I do keep my CD's for when I want to sit down and really listen, which I don't have much opportunity to do anymore sadly.

    Father time..

He does get away from us. I'll definitely hang onto the CD's but my current CD player is not the best, $100 Denon DCD-1420 from E-BAy but it did the trick.

The only propblem with getting 1 SB is you then want more. .

Next purchase will be new speakers from VAF research here in Adelaide. I'm going to have a listen to the DC-X's next week and then eagerly await my next bonus.
