Yeah, not a target-rich environment...unless them asian gents brought their daughters.

    ...bet it sounds heavenly though.
So, I broke into the palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner
She said : "Eh, I know you, and you cannot sing"
I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"

I almost went to this - it's too bad because I wanted to listen to the Audio Note kits together. Though a lot of people liked their rooms quite a bit. Oh well next time.

    Here are two other reports

i wonder how it sounds, - as for tubes nothing very impressive in that audio fest
Good idea to put the midrange closer to hears, but very looking bad in positionning, they look too high

    Hiya lads
Just got a rare 4-channel Messenger tube preamp with a tube power supply that looks like it has 300b tubes as well as other types - I have to check. Would like to get into 300b SET amps but they are just not powerful enough to drive The Maidstone (91db - 4ohm). The horns above probably sound great - but Bobsticks is right about them being impractical for most of us mere mortals.

you could try a secondary system too, something with higher sensitivity speakers...

giving up the maidstones would be like, stupid. But limiting your audio experience because of the speakers is too, so a possible solution could be a good secondary system...

    Keep them spinning,
    Bert.
