    Thanks for the advice!
    I just wanted to thank those in the forum for helping me upgrade my system. If it had not been for your help I would not have ended up with a system that sounds this good. The look on my wife's face when I put her favorite cd in was priceless, she was glad I spent the money. I got 2 subs to make sure I had the "punch and rumble" for home theater, and it really worked.

    Before:
    Hitachi P505602 plasma
    Sony BDP-S360 blu-ray
    JVC receiver (don't remember model)
    Sony SS-MS5 5.1 cube speaker system with 8" 80W sub

    After:
    Hitachi P505602 plasma
    Sony BDP-S360 blu-ray
    Onkyo TX-SR608 receiver
    Infinity P152 front L & R
    Infinity PC250 center
    2 Emotiva Ultra-10 subs
    Still using 2 of the Sony cubes for surround, I wanted to use P152's but my wife likes the "little speakers"

    Great follow up post...hate to be picky here, but i'd recommend using a 3rd P152 for the center channel 'vs' the dedicated one. Not sure if your setup allows this configuration,but generally if one can keep the front speaker array identical, it makes for a better sounding setup.
    Congrats either way...i love the Infinity P series.

    I thought the PC250 was just a P152 with an extra 5" speaker, the speakers look identical on the surface.

    even though they look similar, by adding another 5" driver changes how the speaker is designed...crossovers, cabinet dimensions, etc. take a look below at the differences. while these may seem minor, it's optimal to have identical front 3 speakers. You can even take a P152 and turn it horizontal for better placement (i did this in my neighbors HT setup).

    Tarheel, I see your point but as long as the speakers are timbre matched which these most likely are he is alright. Any difference in sensitivity and frequency response can be dealt with within the receiver's set up menu. It is interesting though if I read the specs correctly, the dual driver isn't rated to play as low. I would have thought the opposite. The crossover points are the same which is good.

    Basically, using the same drivers (identical ideally) similar design and tuning of the cabinet and a similarly designed crossover

    In addition to what Joe E said, "timbre matched" sometimes also called "voice matched" means in simple terms, sounds the same. Although the cabinets of the center and mains are different they still contain the same tweeter and woofer which would allow them similar sound. Three exact speakers are the ultimate but most use a matching center for convenience in placement.
