Well, I got to start some where

Greetings from the Caribbean. I guess I'm the newest member since 2006 left us ten minutes ago.

I would like to start of asking some question to see if any member of the forum can help. Their is always a right way to install a home sound system and their is also a wrong way. I'm planning to install a set of Bose 901 with about 100 WPCh RMS with a receiver and Cd so on and so forth. In the apartment that I use to live I was always hiding the wires under rugs and using ductape, well, you get the picture. Is their any website, book, or place where can indicate, explain how to install correctly a premium sound system? I'm a DIY guy.

    BTW, I love Jazz/Fusion music.

What I'm looking for is the how to DIY. Like

    a. What tools would I need
    b. What would be the best route for wires
c If I want to hang my 901, who sells the best wall mounts, or ceiling mounts
d In what way can I cover the wires so they cannot be seen

remember, the house is NEW and its made in cement! No panles, no wood, etc.

    a. What tools would I need
this depends on what exactly you want to make...

    b. What would be the best route for wires
this depends on how you want to run it...
if you have trim along the floor, this is a good place to hide wires...
if I have to go across the floor, I typicall run it under a/the rug... do you have any type of flooring... I am imagining a cement prison cell here... (sorry, but if you have some pictures of what you are talking about it may help)

c If I want to hang my 901, who sells the best wall mounts, or ceiling mounts
arn't 901's rather heavy? how did you want to hang them? this may be a good place to start your diy projects...

d In what way can I cover the wires so they cannot be seen
see answer to your question b...

remember, the house is NEW and its made in cement! No panles, no wood, etc.

    hummm...
now after I have answered this questions... are you just messing with us?
heck, if you spent the money on the bose 901's why didn't you spend the money on the bose 901 stand? they are "designed" to make the speaker sound "better" ;o)
