    New member with question

Just wanted to say hello, I stumbled on this forum last week and I have been reading through the threads. Great forum!

I already have one question though.

I have been having some issues with using HDMI through my receiver from my cablebox from Time Warner. Sometimes the picture is weird, almost like a negative with bright green tint. It happens when I watch something else like a DVD and/ or PS3 / X-box and then comeback to the TV, I then get it to go away by turning the receiver off then back on.

The store that I buy all of my equipment from tell me that this is a common problem and that they belive that it is a sofware issue from the cable company and that it should work it self out.

    Here is my set up
    Sony STR-DA5200ES Reciever
    Sony KDS-50a2000 1080p HDTV
    Sony DVP-CX777ES 400 disc/dvd/sacd
    Sony Ps3 for Blue ray

    Klipsch Speakers
    RF-3 Fronts
    RC-3 center
    SF-1 rear

HDMI has some known issues with video switching. Talk to your cable company.
