I do not know which is better quality to run on my system. I have never built a decent system before. I have a toshiba 335 mk2 preamp or a hafler 110 preamp going to a equalizer then a mcintosh 225 poweramp and then klipsch heresy speakers. which preamp is better.

You don't mention price differences or what sort of shape they're in, but if it's me and all other things are equal, I am on that Hafler like a shot. The 101 and the 110 are very highly thought of.

I agree, from the 2 the Hafler would be the best. If I had a Mac power amp though I'd be hunting on Audiogon for something even better, like maybe a comparable Mac or a Conrad Johnson.

    What sources do you have?

Hard to beat the price on that.

Although it would be hard to improve on the price you could still improve on quality. The Hafler will be adequate but with an amp like Mac it would be a shame not to some day realize it's potential.

use the Hafler for now, but I'd get something better in the long term. The Mac amp deserves better than that...

    Keep them spinning,
