    Onkyo dx7555

Does anyone have any experience with the new Onkyo dx7555 cd player? I'm looking for a midrange single disc player to replace/upgrade a Denon carousel. At $600, it's at the top of what I'm willing to spend. Any opinions?
    Thanks.

I am not familiar with the current Onkyo line. I suggest you check out the Marantz CD5001 single disc cd player. Several of us have been very inpressed by the sound of this player. Several stores sell it for $300 and that would leave money for new cd's.

Thanks. I have been looking at the Marantz. If comparable, what could possibly justify the $300 difference? One of my big concerns is build--I'm tired of players failing me, not playing discs, and want something worry free that will last. Anyone had any issues with the Marantz?

I have a Marantz CD5400 (the previous model to the 5001) and it has continued to impress me from the day i got it. But the 5001 and don't look back!
