It kind of reminds me of my old laser machine, which in turn was a poor man's version of the Pink Floyd shows they would do at the Griffith Observatory in LA. With the right "assistance," you could easily burn a couple of hours just enjoying the light show and DSOTM.

I think the problem with the marketing is that they didn't mention how the strobing lights help clarify the audio signal. Everyone knows the speed of light is faster than the speed of sound. Therefore, highs are more extended and bass is stronger and faster because the changing light waves augment and shape the audio sine wave before it reaches your ears.
To really receive its full benefits however, well that requires magic sonic snot and a dead cat...
