I don't have any direct experience with these exact components bit I'd say you've made an excellent purchase. I've had and still have NAD components for many years. They're no longer my main system (I went over to Rotel and Marantz) but my little 20+ year old receiver still works great. The BR5's look like a great budget 2-1/2 way floorstander. They can get down to 36 hz which is great bass extension. A sensitivity of 90 dB makes them relatively efficient. Your L45 puts out 50 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms which is enough to power your Monitor's. They need between 30 watts and 120 watts for driving. You can't go wrong with NAD components. I heard that at one time a few years back they were going through some hard times with QA issues and lots of returns but hopefully they're past that now. That can happen to any company when they go through ownership and management changes.

But you've done well. Are you looking to continue expanding into a surround sound HT system or stick with 2 channel music only? Either way, you're golden for now.
