Quality departments are staffed with general labour, trained to perform simple tasks what are there as a (not quite sufficient) support and not to control the production lines. For home wireless, I'm using simple Linksys WRT54G for second year now. Wireless-G is on the market for a long time, they should have taken the bugs out by now, which means less lemons... I am quite happy - slow or fast, as long as it works... and file sharing between all of us (2PCs and 2 laptops) is OK, laser printer is in the grid as well - everything is OK for now. I am just waiting for this router to die, those things are designed not to last. I will try to find the exactly same, but new.
