    New advice needed

Purchased a system. I have a Marantz 7701 pre amp, a Marantz MM7025 5 channel amp. considering adding a 2 channel amp to go from a 5.1 to a 7.1 surround sound. I know of the MM7025 (800 bucks). Looking for a very good, less expensive 2 channel amp that will hook up to my system and run the 2 additional surround sound speakers. Thanks, Brad

blackraven. All look like very good choices, thank you. Guess the next question would be is the money worth the 5.1 to 7.1 sound improvement?

I was running 3.1 but switched to 2.1 as I like things simple so I am not the guy to ask. My main focus is 2ch audio. I tried 5.1 and I was not wowed and returned the rear speakers. But it you are the type of guy that likes hearing all the special effects coming from all sides then go for it.

I would rather put the money to better 5.1 speakers to pair with the excellent Marantz gear that you bought.

I run a 5.1 system and would agree that spending more on making your 5.1 channel system great is worth way more than adding 2 more channels to make a normal system 7.1. I think the quality over quantity rule plays here

    Marantz SR5008(HT)
Nu Force P8 Preamp (2 channel)
    Pass Labs X150.5(2 channel)
    Adcom 545 mk2 power amp(rear channel amp)
Spatial Audio M3 Turbo S Mains Speakers
Dayton 8" HO custom sealed subwoofer(2 channel)
    Yamaha NS-c444 center channel
    Emotiva ERD-1 surround speakers
    JBL e250p subwoofer highly modified
    Samsung 46" LED TV
OPPO BDP-83 blue ray/multi format player
    ps-audio NuWave dac (2 channel)
Dell I660 music server running fidelizer windows 8 audio optimizer
    PS Audio Quintet power center

Klipsch speakers are not quality? What do you suggest I upgrade to improve what I have?
