    Lightbulb Kenwood SR 5150 question

Somebody at work is throwing out a Kenwood KR 5150 because the tuner doesn't work. He was using it for the power source, and another seperate radio for the tuner.

Question: Is this receiver something to take off his hands and fix? Or, is it too costly of a repair and, is the Kenwood 5150 a piece of junk? Also, is it vintage?

    Thank you.

Hi; I was able to find a picture of this receiver on an image search. It does look vintage. If one does not want to fix the tuner because one may not bother to listen to am/fm radio stations, the unit would have use until in finally bites the dust provided of course that it sounds good.
