    helping a friend dvd ~100

    my friend is looking for a single disk dvd player, somewhere in the 100-$150 range. I've been out of the dvd player market for 2 years since I got my panasonic rv32 (partially based on recommedations on this board) because I'm really happy with it and have recommeded it to numerous friends who are all happy with it. Guess I'm looking for something else I can feel confident recommeding for reliability and good pic and sound. Any suggestions?

    If he is into multi-channel music the Pioneer DV-563A looks to be a good buy and close to budget. It plays SACD, DVD-Audio, MP3 etc. It offers a lot for the money including progressive scan for those interested.
