How does your favorite equipment rate in the Czech Republic?

Take a look at the following link that is translated into English. The translation is a bit confusing, but It shows a broad range of audio equipment that is evaluated by either magazines or 'students'. What is interesting about this list, is it has lots of equipment that is evaluated by the same group of people. Most times I read individual evaluations, but never the same people evaluating hundreds of pieces of equipment.

As expected, price seems to be the big predictor of rating scores, but there are some real surprises as well:

    Thanks for the link....

I have no issues with the listing: Revel is kicking @$$ in every speaker category LOL... Actually, the Harman Group is doing extremely well on that list; with value for money (I assume that's what the highlights show) going to products from Revel, AKG, Mark Levinson, JBL and Harman Kardon... Harman does make some sweet gear (if only they kept a tighter grip on all their brands cough*Lexiclown*cough)....

Thanks for the link MS. Some of the gear I lust after they consider reference class. the price of some of the gear makes me glad I live in America.

6000 Euros for a pair of Maggy 3.6R's? I'm glad my favorite preamp manufacturer (ARC) is well represented.

I see that my Jamo's 809's and the Revel Concerta F 12's were rated about the same. I think I heard once those were your upgrade path??

Anyways, I'm teleworking today and really enjoying my new speakers, so I'm sure that when do upgrade you'll really love them.

For myself, I'm trying to find a medium cost system that I really enjoy. So far, I'm pleased with my: speakers, power amp, turn table, and I'm kind of pleased with my denon DVD/CD player. I'm looking to replace my preamp and then try to figure out to get in surround sound. My low end Denon AVR is not cutting it.

    Best Regards,
    Stan

Yes, Magnepan speakers (especially) are way overpriced around here. Remember however, that unlike the US, tax here is included in the price.

Sales tax in Pennsylvania is 6%. If I drive to Delaware (30 miles) there is no sales tax.
