    New To Cd-r and Compatiabilty issues

    Hve tried to get somewhere with sony.....My cd-r's only play when the cd player has been off for a extended period of time ..... It is a older sony 300 cd changer....Sony says it is not supposed to play at at and if it does Im lucky....but this only comes from a simple operator not a tech...my local tech say the laser is gettting weak...I called Onkyo (by which is my stereo brand a dtr-7 integra)....doesnt make a cd mega changer and they say leave the cheap sony equip.. alone....I am lost...Ive tried diff. programs to burn under diff.. formats....can anyone that knows more help?

    Well, I'd upgrade to a better player. This time get a good one, and get one that supports CD-R.

    I have a Sony 300-disc megachanger; got it about a year and-a-half ago and it works just fine with CD-Rs. In fact, I kinda like using CD-Rs with it because it will give you the song title readout.
