People complain of poor treatment at audio stores...Rowan Atkinson

But you could always be treated like this - a Rowan Atkinson skit where he plays an ultra snob audio shop owner.

The best stuff he ever did was a show called the Black Adder - most are only familiar with Mr. Bean which is too bad - you should see some of his one man show.

Picture quality is not great but I liked the skit where he plays the devil - tons more.

His best work is actually where he is speaking... as RGA pointed out, Black Adder and his stand up routines were brilliant... As funny as Mr Bean is, it's arguably his worst work...

Like most things, its really a matter of taste in the end. The Hell video merely made me smile, no more. I didn't know about his other works so I assume they are mostly more recent than Mr Bean, but are they really more popular?

British humour I usually assume doesn't really work in the United States - though it seems to be improving some. Mr. Bean is so popular because Rowan is almost a Charlie Chaplin and because dialog is not needed it works all around the world in any language.

The Black Adder which was well before Mr. Bean is a show tied to historical points in British history and is set in Victorian Elizabethan times and WW1. You will see a brilliant comedic performance from Hugh Laurie (House) and shows just how good his American Accent and acting ability really is.

Much of Mr. Bean came from Rowan's stand up work. Here is a link of another part of his stand-up on the right you can open several others and you will see some videos that eventually turned into Mr. Bean skits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBeguUvuDzs

This is my favorite from Mr. Bean - perhaps because I'm a teacher. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KU_jxPJ0jw
