Have Perraux SM2 and 2150B and thinking

I need new speakers, the ADS 1290's have thru the years given on and off agin problems, alot of blown tweeters, mid range etc, so think it is time for new speakers. Or, I was thinking of getting rid of the Perreaux and going with a new system..even a smaller system.
so, what would be good speakers for the SM2/2150B and are ther 1290's worth keeping up with repair wise, and any other wisdom, thanks.Mitch

A friend who is an audio repair-man once told me that Perreaux owners kept him in business. Indeed when I visited his workshop this brand was always well represented. This would have been around the time that your amps would have been in production. Perhaps the blown speaker units were not the fault of the speakers.
