    Good Looking Room Treatments.
I'm starting to think about building some room treatments. I thinking that 2 x 4 feet Owens Corning 703 panels would work. Also, I'm thinking about building a wood trim around the panel and staining the trim. From the things I've seen, this would look nice.

Now, I'm starting to think about not using a standard burlap covering. Instead, I'd put on some cloth that has a picture. Kind of like tigers in the attached link: http://www.decware.com/paper39.htm

Has anyone seen a company that sells something like this? My wife is Chinese and an Asian flair would be nice.

The links that I kind of like are:

    http://www.fabriclovers.com/category...al-Fabric.html

Do you guys have any other idea?

    Thanks,
    Stan

Nope, I like your ideas just fine Stan. Pick a theme and go for it. I'll be looking forward to the results. Drop me a line for any construction advice.

Will do. I checked out some sites during lunch, the one I like the best so far is: https://www.fabricsfromtheheart.com/...productId=4147

I think that putting these in a high quality frame on top of 2 x 4 feet Owens Corning 703 panels would look really cool.

    Best Regards,

Good idea Stan... I've always liked the idea of room treatments that look like (or are) room decorations...

Maybe you should let your wife pick the fabric, so she can feel involved in the process....

Some really nice looking stuff at that website, Stan. But I've heard that some fabrics have surprisingly high sound reflectivity. You might be safer to stick with speaker cloth, e.g. from Parts Express, (here).

Not exactly what you are looking for, but this has to be one of the best looking panels you can acquire.

I'm about ready to order the parts:

-- I'll get the four inch 703's from this site:

    http://www.atsacoustics.com/cgi-bin/...6&catstr=HOME:

-- Then, I really like the batik from 'sew batik'. I think that something like this will look good:

I'll make sure to send a picture of them when I get it done.

    Best Regards,
    Stan
