Easy CD Creator Vers. 5 crossfade problem

Here's the problem: when I try to use the crossfade feature with Easy CD Creator, even using a minimal crossfade value (ex. 2 seconds), and play back the burned disc, the ending of one song runs well into the next track number - well beyond 2 seconds. And the further into the disc you get (tracks 6,7,8,9, etc), the worse the problem becomes with songs crossfading into the next track number by as much as 20 seconds. Anyone else here ever have this experience? Does this sound like a software issue or my computer not working well with Easy CD Creator? Would Version 6 perhaps work correctly?
