    Wireless Speakers DIY

I don't know a thing about wireless speakers. Can I adapt a pair of JBL's to be wireless? I currently have a wire run of 22 ft from my old Pioneer 1250 to JBL L80T's as my "B" speakers and would love to lose the wire. How is the sound quality with wireless? Practical? Can I DIY this and how? Thanks, JK

I have tried to make wireless work but so far none of the transmitters/recievers have been satisfactory. Hardware is the best method of connecting speakers to source.

It would result in a serious degradation in sound quality.

True, you won't be running it through that length of wire, but you WILL be running it through a transmitter, a receiver, another amplifier which, in all probability, won't be as clean or as powerful as the one in your current setup.

Which scenario do you think has a better chance of degrading the signal?

    Wireless speaker technology does exist -- see O'Heocha -- but (a) it's expensive, and (b) I don't know if it's DIY-able (do-it-yourself-able? Doable-it-yourself? Whatever...).
