I used Allavsoft to download an iView program, AGAINST their wish, from the website of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. If I use Internet Download Manager instead, it fails at 100%, but in \AppData\Temp\ (of Windows10) there is a large file that can be renamed as *.mp4, which will play in VLC without a sound track. The video that Allavsoft downloaded has an appropriate soundtrack that can barely be heard through the PC's internal speaker, but not at all, if amplified and played through external speakers. Instead, some music plays. Can anyone tell me the TECHNICAL reason for this happening and suggest a way around.
