Descriptions of terms??

Hi everyone,

Is there a resource, in any form, that defines the terms often used to describe characteristics of audio gear?
I just want to be sure that I'm understanding what people mean when they use certain terms.
For instance, what does transparency mean, as it's applied to speakers?

www.enjoythemusic.com has a nice dictionary of audio terms. Also, you could go to www.stereophile.com type audio glossary in the search box and read J. Gordon Holt's editorials on the subject. Mr Holt was at one time the owner, publisher, editor and chief writer for Stereophile (originally "The Stereophile"). He invented a lot of the terms we use today and is one of those most responsible for the existence of the "high end".:cool:
