Pick up a copy of ghostworld, a film with Steve Buscemi and Thora Birch. There's a scene with Steve Buscemi hosting a get-together with various audiophiles. Christ. If you recognize any part of yourself in these characterizations, you'll want to hang yourself. Enjoy.

I noticed Thora Birch, was there other stuff in the film?

It's a pretty cool movie. A little slow and it drags on in a few parts, but it's totally worth renting.

. . . If they don't obsess at least somewhat over equipment. That is a great movie. I was disappointed to see these guys so into the collection of records but no mention of their systems. Buscemi should have had an exotic turntable with some tube monoblocks and maybe a set of those Avant Garde horns that cost about 50 thousand bucks. How about, oh, what's her name? The girl from Lost In Translation? Yummy.
