UK police to review Rolling Stones guitarist death
    AP - Mon, 31 Aug 2009 11:07:01 -0400 (EDT)

British police say they will review the 1969 death of Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones.

Sussex police said Monday in a statement that they have received documents from an investigative journalist that relate to Jones' death.

They say the papers "will be examined by the force, but it's too early to comment at this time as to what the outcome might be."

Jones died in July 1969 at age 27. His body was found in the swimming pool at his 11-acre (4.5-hectare) Sussex estate.

A coroner said Jones drowned while under the influence of alcohol and drugs. But there has long been speculation about the nature of Jones' death.

The Mail on Sunday said Scott Jones -- who is not related to the musician -- handed over 600 documents to Sussex police.
Back in my day, we had nine planets.

Didn't care then, (don't remember if I even knew about it) ... certainly don't care now.

    Cool

Doesnt matter if anybody cares, these is no statute of limitation on murder, anywhere.
Most officers, as a hobby, keep "cold case" files that they work on in their free time.
Thats why I got so mad at the OJ Simpson trial, they tried him on both murders.
Because of double jeopardy he cant be tried anymore.
But if they had just tried him for one murder they could always get him for the second.
Anyway, the law will never rest until the case is solved, it will always be "open".

Where is this eutopic place? Most officers? I'm sure that some perplexing cases are given extra consideration, but after 5-7 years I think most cold cases are closed or at the very least put on a shelf. Most officers, as a hobby, punch out and do something that doesn't involve their job.
