    A Quick Thank You

As I slowly fade into the sunset...or at least the next track on whatever is in the cdp...I didn't want to drift off without giving some members their due.

This place has dispensed more useful knowledge than decades of reading Audio, TAS, Stereophile, et. al. When I first came to AR I knew just enough to be dangerous. Like all newbies, I thought my stuff was the best since sliced bread and sounded better than Pavarotti at the Met.

In the legendary words of Bugs Bunny: What a maroon!

Room acoustics? Nodes? Nulls? BFD? First order reflections? Uhh...right.

I still don't know nearly as much as I should, but I have reached a point where I'm comfortable with the idea that I'm squeezing the best possible sound I can out of my modest little rig(s). I could not have reached this level of understanding without the sage advice of a few members:

Wooch: You may wear baby blue, but you bleed cardinal and gold. You know this to be true.

Kex: I still don't understand what Q is but I'll take your word on it.

SirT: My fellow Trojan, the days of TLADINY/Lex are forever etched into my memory (I'll send you my therapists bills)

The FF crew (Worfster, L.J., FA, Beef, Kam, GMike): I don't know about you, but I'm more lost than ever! Thanks for insight, reviews, and most importantly the laughs (yes, Mike, I'm talking about you.)

Dave: I will absolutely audition Taylor sometime, if only because we seem to like all the same stuff!

JSE: Cartman + Lex = coffee on the 'puter screen. Ahh...good times...

RGA: Thanks for the heads up on Noel at Skylan Stands, but you still don't know jack about cars.

MarkW: Old school and all the better for it.

I'm sure I've missed a few hundred members, unfortunately I'm out of time (the priciple reason I'm no longer active). Enjoy the music, watch more movies, and have a great time. I sure did!

See you at the water cooler...

Out of time? What do you mean by out of time? What's going on here? Can you explain, or do I need to PM you?

You better be back in time for the college football season or I'm making a trip out there to LaLa Land to root against your girls of Troy.

Hey Speedy, I just slit my wrists again to confirm -- still bleeding Bruin blue!

Been a great ride, with a whole lot of great discussions (and the occasional sports debates). All the best to you, and hope you log in every now and then so that I can at least give you ample warning if I'm passing through your neck of the woods!

Since your non-audio hobbies include drums, I'll leave you with this positively sick drumcorps gem that I found (the line featured is the Top Secret corps from Switzerland). I'll let the others serenade you with automotive porn! Take care!

Hey TS, who's gonna tell me how much the next episode of 24 sucks, or how clever the writers of Lost are for planting seeds 3 seasons ago? Who's gonna be the voice of reason next time a ego maniac audiophile starts talking jive. And who's gonna blow the whistle next time Lexie comes a lurkin'?

Stop in and say hello sometime.

Wow, you're a morbid bunch! I'm not even 40 and you guys are already throwing dirt on the coffin! For the record, I'm perfectly fine albeit completely time constrained thanks to kids and work. I can't retire from work (yet) so consider me retired from AR.

Rich, I'll pop back in to show you pics of my new Camaro when it finally hits the streets. It will be black, it will be convertible, and it will be soooo sweeeeet! 2010 will be here before you know it!

Killer vid, Wooch, thanks. Come down the 99 and I'll buy you lunch. I've got a Trojan onesie that should fit lil' Wooch perfectly!

O'shag, I'm not NorCal or SoCal. I'm CenCal, Baby! (although my allegiances lie with SoCal for obvious reasons.)

I'll lurk every once in a while, just to make sure Worf doesn't drown L.J. at the cooler or to stop Mike from bogarding all the beer and cheeseballs. If you jokers ever need anything or someone resurrects Lex, just PM me. The system sends me an email.

    Enjoy!

    Speedy

How's the M3? or have you moved on to the G37? And what's that about a camaro?
You know that E46 M3 almost gets my heart pounding every time I see one (which does happen, if you ask, specially here in Geneva.)
It really is an icon and hope to own one some day.

All the best, take care and do stop by every now and again

Why? Do they put female techs in the trunk over there?

My sentiments exactly. It's been fun Sir Speedy, best of luck in your future endeavors. Maybe I'll catch ya in a COD4 battle sometime.
