    Addicted, Part II

    Good day today!

I was lamenting the prices on Ebay and decided to go out and look the hard way. I went out looking for a couple of items and wound up filling the car.

Hit the usual thrifts, with the usual outcome. Then, I called on a guy who listed some Pioneer gear in the local paper. An older gentleman, I could tell. Looking good. He was way on out there, quite a drive, but I am a junkie and kept going. It turns out the guy has been collecting and garage-saleing stereo equipment for a decade and has a basement full of stuff. Some good. Some not-so-good. Nothing great. However, he is getting old now and never got around to going through much of it. More stuff there. Yee Haw!!!

    Let's see...

Yamaha CA400 clean and not working (fuse?)
    Yamaha CT400 clean and working
    Pioneer SA608 beautiful
    Pioneer TX608 beautiful
Pair Cerwin Vega DX-7 Working, need refoamed and grill repair
Then, the real interesting find: Sansui AU-D9, needs transistor, $10.00.

From the thrift shop: Pair Advent 1's that need repair or reworked.

All in all, $214.00. I'll take it. Goes to show what some work will accomplish. Did I mention there are lot more there!

Is the guy located in SoCal? I'd like to see what he has left.
