Must admit that have not seen most of of these horror movies, so more reviews might be required.

Not in any particular order:

Martyrs (2008): Unrelentingly intense tale of abuse and revenge.

The Prowler (1981): A slasher in a cool World War II getup killing people with a pitchfork.

This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse (1967): Brazilian José Mojica Marins broke taboos and boundaries about "Coffin Joe" continuing his quest for the perfect mate. Entirely black and white until you get to hell.

Deathdream (1974): A political horror about a dead soldier who comes back from Vietnam.

Phenomena (1985): This is one of Argento's juicer films and stars a very young Connelly as the psychic, bug-loving protagonist.

Night of the Creeps (1986): A fun mix of zombies, slashers and aliens.

Phantom of the Paradise (1974): A horror rock musical, soundtrack earned an Oscar nomination.

Martin (1976): George Romero's best non-Dead film.

Antichrist (2009): Willem Defoe and Gainsbourg boil humanity down to muscles, twisted limbs, intense convulsions and manic abuse.

Dead and Buried (1981): A superb flick about a town full of murderous mobs and reanimated corpses.
