What scares(d) you the most?
I was watching movies recently and got to thinkin' (no jokes Kam)... I've always loved monster movies and horror... I asked myself and now you..."what monster scares you the most" and why??? My list is as follows:
1. Zombies - I don't know after Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" flesh, brain eating Zombies have always given me the willies... "28 Days Later" damn sure didn't help either... Of course with the ratcheting up of special effects in the last 20 years Zombies are more gruesome than ever... wow... what a ride...
2. Certain Vampires - NOT the romantic Frank Langella vampires,... I'm talking the "Nosferatu" and "Salem's Lot" rat faced Vampires... the scene when ole Fang Face rises straight out of the coffin in Nosferatu scared the s**t out of me and still does....
3. Aliens... - A nightmare however you slice it... scary as all get out. They gestate inside you and burst from your chest and drip acid for blood... yipes...
4. Werewolves - Not the Lon Chaney puppy dog kind... I'm talking "The Howling" and "Dog Soldiers" werewolves... nasty, tall, strong and unstoppable werewolves... That's why I don't own a dog to this day... (just kidding.... I'm allergic to em)...
What do you folks think? What makes you sweat in the night?

There was a good reason for that...

I watched a documentary on the making of all the Alien movies. In the first the director didn't tell the other actors what was going to happen to John Hurt. They didn't know about the chest burster at all. Their reactions.. particularly Yaphet Koto's was completely first take and unrehearsed. He's lucky they didn't run or smash the little alien to pieces. I know I would have stood there saying "what the f**k" over and over...

Felt the American version was one of the sacriest movies I've ever seen. Recommended it here on the old board quite vociferously.. Never rented "Ringu" should I? I'd really like the opinion of someone who's seen both..
