    Prehistoric Caveman Movies

Although mankind and dinasors lived 65 million years apart, somebody forgot to tell Hollywood film makers that fact

I pick Quest for Fire as best movie in this gener as it portray prehistoric humnas as accurate as possible without being a documentary. Although Ringo Starr's Caveman was kind of fun to watch.

    Ranked by release date:

One Million B.C., (1940): Victor Mature star as protagonist Tumak, a young cave man who strives to unite the uncivilized Rock Tribe and the peaceful Shell Tribe.

One Million Years B.C. (1966): In this remake of One Million B.C., the publicity shot of Raquel Welch from the movie became more famous than the movie itself, becoming a best-selling poster.

When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth (1970): The special effects are considered a benchmark in stop-motion animation, and the film is referenced in the movie Jurassic Park.

Caveman (1981): Financed by George Harrison, Ringo Starr try to bring some comics relief to the land of cave dewellers.

Quest for Fire (1981): Humans struggle for control of fire. It won the Academy Award for Makeup.

The Clan of the Cave Bear (1986): Daryl Hannah star as Ayla, a young Cro-Magnon woman who was separated from her family during an earthquake.

The Flintstones (1994): Favorite stone age family comes to big screen.

10,000 BC (2008): A prehistoric epic that follows a young mammoth hunter journey through uncharted territory to secure the future of his tribe.

Year One (2009): After being banished from their tribe, two hunter-gatherers encounter Biblical characters Cain and Abel on a fateful day, and stop Abraham from killing Isaac,

That is a good choice too as one really can't deny its cultural influence. As I remember there is no dialogue in this movie, but don't think anybody really cared

Caveman was so funny; still is. The rest are dumb.

The film When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth was pretty good as it was inspiration for Steven Spielberg to make Jurrasic Park. But it look pretty much outdated by now.

The problem with these kind of movies is that it can't have dialogue. So if it is not a comedy, then it is a documentary
