"We Need to Talk About Kevin" - Wow talk about a kick in the gut. A bit to artsy fartsy in the begining, I could see it losing some folks but when it gets rolling, it gets rolling. How Ms. Swinton didn't win the Oscar I'll never know. My 19 year old knucklehead watched it and ran from the room a couple of times. Also in light of what happened this weekend in Colorado... couldn't be more timely.

Been meaning to watch this, but haven't talked to anyone who has seen it yet. Good to hear feedback. Tilda Swinton is always entertaining for me and the theme has had me curious.

Thanks for mentioning this film. It caught my interest a while back then forgot about it. A couple of other movies that interest me are "Bernie" and "Safety Not Guaranteed". Maybe not "kick in the gut" type films like "We Need to Talk . . ." but they appear to have that indie quirkiness.
