Sunrise: A Song for Two Humans (directed by Murnau, 1927)

2001: A Space Odyssey (directed by Kubrick, 1968)

The Searchers (directed by Ford, 1956)

Man With a Movie Camera (directed by Dziga Vertov, 1929)

The Passion of Joan of Arc (directed by Dreyer, 1927)

    8 ½ (directed by Fellini, 1963)

I've seen two of those. The Searchers and 2001 and I've heard of four of the them. Well it is a Brit publication, so it's bound to be a little different.

This poll does have alot of international flavor. I am surprise that no movies past 1968 made the list, one good example being The Godfather or Star Wars movies. Also where is Seven Samurai which I thought every critics loved...and me too

Another Japanese film that always seems to make ever Top-10 list is missing, Ran.

I like Vertigo, but it's not even in my fave top five Hitchcock films (there's a thread for ya Smokes).

Citizen Kane deserves its praise and place on top-10 lists.
Repost this on your wall if you love Jesus.
