Nah, but cruising the streets in a tricked-out G5 doesn't exactly instill fear in the hearts of criminals, does it?

    361 horses under $30K. Try getting a Cobra for < $30K

Network television always was full of idiots.

Okay, okay...I'm no Ford/Mustang fan, and it wouldn't have been my first choice, but I'm sure Ford paid a lot of money for it so who really cares - the KITT car is going to smoke any GM ever built anyway because it's make-believe and probably has built-in lasers.

Knight Rider returns dudes!!! That's all that matters.

I saw a pretty cool trailer for Knight Rider this weekend. It was more like a car ad, listing features like supercharged V8, high performance brakes, etc...and then it gets to "nanotech color morph paint" and "automatic body repair" when you start to figure it out. It ends with the car doing a quarter spin to face the camera with Kitt's signature Cylon eye and states "Driver Optional." I actually thought it was a great trailer.

They are using the Ford Shelby KR as the vehicle. Not a bad choice considering there are only 1000 being built and they are already pre-sold.

Any news on who's playing Michael Knight?

I saw the same teaser Speedy...thougth it was another boring car ad at first and wasn't really paying attention..wasn't until I the morphing this and saw the red light/eye thingy that my blood got pumping...
I'm looking forward to this - I'm guessing KITT has more personality than most of the actors on the crappy fall shows this year. Can't wait.

Wish my car had "self regeneration" and "Damage Repair" capabilities.

Get this - David Hasslehoff is playing Michael Knight!
But the show/movie is about his estranged kid/son...fair enough.

Ain't that the truth? Thank God for Lost!

Good find on the teaser, that's the one I was referring to.

NBC apparently lost all of their writers long before the strike because all they are doing is rehashing shows from the '80's. First it was Bionic Woman (OK, '70's show, but it still sucks), now it's American Gladiators and Knight Rider? If they really want to mine the '80's, they should at least try to get the Cos to come out of retirement. Hey, he saved their bacon before, maybe there's still some magic left?

    Hey! Hey! Hey!

Now if they'd only ressurect Misfits Of Science...Courtney Cocks could still play her part.

Boy, this writer strike sure put Hollyweird in a bind.

    Ha Ha

Oh well, maybe there's a giant gator movie on SciFi channel.

You know what's strange? Aside from Lost, there's nothing on TV that I miss. And since Lost wasn't supposed to start until February anyway, I'd be missing it regardless of the strike.

As far as I'm concerned the writers can stay out forever. I just feel bad for the thousands of other people who are out of work because of the writers. It's easy for the rich people like George Clooney to say that they won't attend the Golden Globes to support the writers. But what about the people who work the cameras and lights, build the sets, do hair and make-up, produce and the multitude of other important jobs?

Strikes suck for everyone. More people will lose because of this than will win. [end rant]

Oh, and BTY, 3-LB, that's Courteney COX.

Ford got this one right. I've always loved the looks of the original. This car, I guess the Shelby version, is one of the truly beautiful American cars. But, what I really ache for, is the Ford GT (what an understated name for one of the most beautiful cars ever). - the remake of the original Ford GT40, Ford's greatest car. By the way, incase you didn't know it, the soundtrack for the engine sound in the Bullitt movie was not the Shelby Mustang GT. What your hearing in Bullitt (Steve McQueen) is the mythical sound of the GT40 at full throttle, dubbed in to make the mustang sound more potent. Is there a more beautiful sounding engine (perhaps the Aston Martin Vanquish or DBR9 is as good). The GT40 was built with one sole purpose in mind - to destroy Ferrari at LeMans - which it did..repeatedly; ah the glory days...

The writers strike should have little to no effect on a show like this...I don't think the old one ever used professional writers anyway (buh dum bum).

Instead of TV shows to find people who can dance or sing, we should hold talent shows for people who can come up with fresh ideas...for a change.
