Question How many DVDs do you own?

Ok guys, it is number crunching time

Have over 75 DVDs, and recently growing fast since discovering “digging” into Walmart’s Bargain bin DVDs (DVDs in a big pile for $5.50).

I have more than 1450 in my hometheater(old apartment), and probably 200 more at my house. My buying has slowed down somewhat because nothing interesting has come out in the last couple of weeks.

For the love of God, I don't know why they don't put those DVDs on the shelf (instead of big pile) so be easier to scan thru them.

May be they are trying to keep Sir TT away from those DVDs...LOL

Fortunately I wouldn't step into Walmart doors if they were the last brick and mortar on the planet. Its a personal thing, and don't knock those who do. Walmart in my opinion is beezelbub himself.

I however have not paid more the $16 for any of the DVD's I own

Same here, I'm handy to 200 now....I've sold a pile of (bad) movies I never wanted to watch again (how did Battlefield Earth and Wing Commander get in there?) I've become an amateur DVD trader of sorts. I buy a lot of movies I haven't seen if they're $5-$10 new or used, just because I can trade them in and get my money back - it works out to be cheaper than renting. And if I like it, I'll keep it.

I've decided owning a lot of DVD's isn't a priority for me, watching a lot of movies is. Consequently, I've upped my "keeper" standards considerably. I should do the same for my CD's, but I'm lazy.

I probably only have about 30 or 40 movies I'll watch at least once a year, maybe another 25 or so that I wouldn't part with. The rest are just movies I enjoyed, but honestly might not get around to watching again.

I've got about ~200 so far

I'm a real sucker for the discount rack, and the BestBuy 5 for $25 sales. Even got about a dozen DVD's laying around that I've yet to watch! I snatched 8 or 10 superbits when they dropped the price on those too. I hate paying full price for anything!

Sounds like me. I've been working on my DVD's still in plastic the last couple of weeks. Probably down to about 25 now.

I got 423 titles listed on my DVD Aficionado profile, some double counting because of boxed sets and some others that are missing because the titles have not yet been added to their system.

Generally, I try to avoid pan & scan, nonanamorphic, and movie-only titles, as well as DVDs that have been supplanted by special edition releases. A lot of those tend to wind up in the bargain bins.

I had around 200 but sold every last one to a video game store. I never watched them again and I am a neat freak of sorts. No useless sh*t at my house.

The only movie that I have bought back is Pirates of the Carribean. I'll probably end up buying a couple more back and feeling like a dumba**

I have approx 175 of which around 30 are my favorites and I watch most of those at least once a year.
I have Battlefield Earth and liked it for what it was though it absolutely SUCKED compared to the novel.
