    Paris, Texas on Blu-Ray

Got my first Blu-ray disc for Christmas - Paris, Texas.

Harry Dean Stanton, Dean Stockwell, brilliant camera work, music by Ry Cooder. What more could you ask for? The last time I saw this was more than 10 years ago on vhs. This blu-ray disc is stunning. Glorious shots of the desert and hills of L.A. Stanton's face looks like a roadmap.

Hey, Troy. I thought of you while watching it. I wondered if some of the landscapes were similar to those you traverse in search of your photo subject matter.

BTW, I included your book in an Amazon Christmas order. I think the wife was a little disappointed I didn't get a signed copy. Yes, I feel cheap. She has a b-day and we have an anniversary soon so I may be able to rectify that as I won't be buying gifts for everyone under the sun. I'm looking forward to spending some time in our current copy nonetheless.

Along with Vanishing Point, it's one of my favorite American desert movies. I like the first half more than the 2nd. Paris is kinda slow and deliberate, but that is the way of the desert.

The heartiest of thanks for buying my book! Hope you enjoy it.
