I was thinking that too. Kate was there when Claire gives birth on the island and it looks like she may be there when Claire gives birth off the island. It's like whatever is going to happen is going to happen regardless of location. Fate is fate. Who wants to bet that somehow in LA-X, Claire ends up deserting Aaron and Kate still ends up with him?

I also liked that Ethan Rom is Ethan Goodspeed. If the Island is sunk, he keeps his Dharma name. I'd like to know more about him though. How did he end up going from Dharma kid (Horace's son) to an Other?

I think that the last time we saw Claire was in the cabin with Christian. So, Claire is infected according to Dogan (was that his name?). Did she disappear before or after Rousseau died? I'm wondering if Rousseau was the one who was infected and was somehow being used by Smokey. Was Claire "claimed" to take Rousseau's place?

I LOL's when Ethan told Claire that he didn't want to stick her with needles if he didn't have to.

    I thought last nights episode...

Sucked. Except for Claires resurgance, I found it to be nothing but filler. And WTF, we have an escaped murderer, wanted by the Feds driving around IN A STOLEN YELLOW CAB and they can't track her? Kate just happens to find a an ex-con running a chop shop wiht a heart of gold who's unconcerned about AIDING AND ABETTING????? Stolen car to a hospital where Police are always around and they don't catch her? Are you chittin' me? Who wrote that load of cobblers? All so Claire and Kate can swap hugs? WTF? I want that hour BACK!!!!!

Well...when you put it that way...

I agree actually. It was one of the worst episodes that I can remember. Not a whole lot happened other than the return of Claire at the end. With only 14 or so hours left to wrap it all up, I can only assume (and hope) that episode was a lead-in to bigger and better things.

Here's a pretty amusing write up on the season premiere that I think you'll enjoy.

I enjoyed that recap immensely. Glad to see some other folks don't take this so seriously either. LOTS of big plot holes detailed in great tongue in cheek. I'll be going back there believe me.

    Where's Austin??? What about Kate?

My favourite line was when Locke was talking to the kid and said, "Don't tell me what I can't do". LOL.

    It was an interesting episode.

If last week's episode was a bit sub-par, this one was sure made up for it.

Loved the bit about the rocks on the scale - very reminiscent of Locke with the backgammon pieces early in season 1.

Wonder what the significance of the kid telling evil Locke that he couldn't kill Jacob was? Maybe loophole's violate the spirit of the island rules and evil Locke is in trouble?

With the fair hair I think we're meant to think the kid is lil' Jacob.

"Jacob had a thing for numbers" lol.

I thought it was interesting that it appeared that Richard couldn't see the kid. Although IIRC he had his back to him and the kid was gone when Rich turned around. So maybe he could have seen him if he stuck around, but it left me with the impression that only UnLocke could see him.

But then Sawyer saw the kid. And UnLocke seemed very surprised by that.

I loved the scene in the cave where UnLocke tosses the white rock into the ocean and says simply, "inside joke". LOL.

After all the years we've spent trying to figure out the numbers wouldn't it be funny if they mean nothing more than "Jacob had a thing for numbers"? The joke is on us my friends.

So is the serial number on the hatch door the number for that particular go around? If the numbers were 3 - Autumn, 7 - Kam, 12 - Kex, and WE were on the island then would the numbers on the hatch door have been 3 7 12 etc? Does this just happen over and over and over again with different people until the MIB finds his loophole.

As I typed that last paragraph it occured to me that would make sense. If you think about how many times Desmond saved Charlie's life only to realized that he can't, it makes total sense that they are in a loop...and looking for the loophole. Following that same train of thought...Faraday's mommy told Desmond that the Island isn't done with him. So maybe UnLocke hasn't found the loophole after all.

OMFG! Sometimes I blow my own mind!

i thought that too about the Kid vs. Richard/Sawyer. Either it is that the Kid just ran away before Richard saw him OR... Sawyer could see him because he's one of the "Candidates" so could see what others couldn't.

And remember when they went to the Watching Hatch and saw those long pages of numbers which were another set of numbers. That could fit in with your idea of the Island/Jacob resetting after bringing a different set of people to the Island to find that right 'Candidate.'

I wonder if Eko's name is crossed out on that ceiling, or if Ben's name is even on there, or Desmond, if Desmond is one of those 'Other Numbers'...

found this one the e! lost reviews....

What if #23 shephard isn't Jack, but Aaron. Since he is technically a shephard, not "littleton" which was claires last name, and which was already crossed out as 313!

No. Aaron wouldn't go by Sheppard. Assuming that Clair kept him, she would give him her name. She didn't want anything to do with Christian, so why would she give Aaron his name?

Nope. I ain't buying that one.

oh i know, definately claire would be very anti-christian/sheppard, but maybe the Island could think of the 'sheppard line' that isn't up to claire?

i still think it's jack too, though, when Smokey showed Sawyer that name, i didn't think he indicated any that it was another sheppard (kinda like the obi wan-yoda exchange of 'there is another' in empire).

i think that episode back in season 1 where that psychic said horrible things would happen if her baby is raised by anyone other than claire. hopefully that won't just be a red herring among many red herrings, but a key to it all.

By that logic, Claire is a Shephard too.

UnLocke made a point of saying that he did't know whether Kwan referred to Sun or Jin. By not commenting about Shephard, I think that even UnLocke thinks that Shephard is Jack.

Exactly. If Claire's not a Shephard then I don't buy Aaron being a Shephard. Maybe I'll have to eat my words...but I doubt it.

    "Is leaving an option?"

"Turns up wherever he wants, like Obi Wan Kenobi."

I liked the episode, but it feels like they are still taking their time getting to the end. Feels like there a LOT of stuff to get through and each episode that goes even a little slow almost is a waste. maybe it's just because of a buildup of a ridiculous amount of questions that any answers can't come fast enough.

I agree that it was another slow episode. But not a bad one. Its just a slower burn to the end than I was expecting. The Lighthouse (the building, not the episode) was a total disappointment to me. My first thought was, "how could they have never seen that before?" So when Jack actually asked the question, it felt forced. Like the writers thought "let's put in a lighthouse, but we'll have to explain why it's never been seen before". Then the lighthouse itself was a disappointment. I wanted to learn something from it. But it was all just to get Jack to stare at the ocean and be introspective. Booooooooring. I want to know whose name was at 108 degrees dammit!

    BTW...108, LOL.

An inconsistency that bothered me was that it appeared that the directions that Jacob gave Hurley had to do with the Temple and finding heiroglyphics and hidden doors and he had to do it with Jack. But then when he got Jack to join him, they went off in a totally different direction, off into the jungle. That didn't make sense to me.

I liked Jin's realization that Claire is not the sweet little girl that he once knew. I see a nice big cage fight between Claire and Kate coming our way. Which one will survive? My guess is Kate.

Oh, and Jack's reason for returning to the island..."I was broken and I thought it could fix me". Blech! I am really getting sick of his sappy character. For some reason, he did look unusually hot last night though.

I think Hurley was finding the hidden passage out of the temple they referred to a few times times...Hurley and Jack just left the temple that way.

At first I wasn't interested in the alternate timeline Losties..but now that Jack's got a kid, I'm really curious to see where it all goes now.

As for the lighthouse..the Island is pretty huge and the lighthouse wasn't that big...I can't see a water tower that's just a few minutes away from me, so I had no problem with that.
Except it hasn't turned out to be anything except maybe a way for Jacob to watch/travel places.

Still waiting for Desmond to pop-up...And that Whidmore dude...

Kam, I think that you'll find this link interesting, http://lost.cubit.net/archives/2010/...thous.php#more.

You can clearly see that Sheppard and Jarrah are written in darker pen than the rest, including Ford (#15) and Austen! Austen is #51 and is not crossed out. 51?

108 is Wallace...and is also crossed out.
