Cool Kurt Russell...an all purpose actor.

There are few actors that can play all type of characters thrown at them in a memorable manner-including being funny, and endure a long career. Kurt Russell is probably one of them.

Playing action hero in Escape From New York, bad-cop-good-cop opposite Sylvester Stallone in Tango&Cash, to gunslinger Wyatt Earp in Tombstone, Kurt have come a long way.

Here are couple of my favorites:

    Used Cars (1980)

    The Thing (1982)

Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

    3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

    I gotta agree

He'salso pretty good at light comedy as well. Two family favorites are "Captain Ron" and "Overboard". Both get watched at least twice a year and even though ther are no surprises, they provide a warm, fuzzy feeling and some good laughs. It's hard to NOT like a guy who can laugh at himself.

Talking You know I have to agree...

But you left out my faves... "Stargate" "Soldier" and "Executive Decision". He's a good actor if not great. An chite, any man that can survive Disney, Hollywood and resist the pressure to get married all these years is one helluva man.

Yup, Stargate and Soldier were excellent sci-fi flicks...This guy's done it all...I can't believe some people put him in the same league as Van Dam and Segall. That's injustice, I tell ya!

I thought Breakdown was a completely under-rated movie. Almost up there with Face/Off in terms of suspense for an action movie. Too bad it was so genericly named.

    Talking Oh....

and you can add "Dark Blue" to my list of fave Kurt Russell films. I just saw it last night and thought it was almost as powerfull as "Training Day". Great underrated film.

Can't believe no one's mentioned "Escape from New York". A classic of the genre.

And another vote for "Dark Blue" I was really surprised by his performance in that.

He's been in a lot of forgettable junk too, some of which have already been mentioned ("3000 miles from Graceland" was disgracfully bad), but if you guys like 'em, hey, enjoy yourself.
