i'm definitely skeptical too, it'll all come down to that transition from the frat boy to the crime fighter and how they handle it, which looks like it's going to be comedically, rather than give it a dark turn, which would be far more interesting imo.

Well at least they're not making "The Dark Hornet"...which is probably the direction every other comic movie is going now.

It looks awwwwwful beyond belief. I love when Hollywood tries to turn unlikely actors into total badasssssses. For instance - The Bourne Series. Matt Damon is about as tough as Dakota Fanning, although I think Fanning would win by TKO in the third round as she is younger and probably has better cardio.

While I enjoy Seth Rogan and what he brings to the screen from a slack-loser-funnyman, I really don't see him pulling this off with high accolades, in fact the film itself looks like a total disaster from the get-go.

On the plus side, it's being directed by one of my favorite music-video directors, Michel Gondry who has worked with Bjork, Daft Punk, etc.

On the negative side, it's being directed by one of my least favorite feature-film directors, who has churned out questionable films like ETERNAL SUNSHINE and HUMAN NATURE.

Few people today really know much about the GREEN HORNET from it's days in the 1960's as a show and even the 1970's feature film that used excerpts from the show. However, it would seem that all you really need to do these days to make money in Hollywood is take a comic book and turn it into a film that involves some sort of really cool vehicle (usually a car), show lots of explosions, pay less than a dollar for the script, add lame fighting scenes that are usually just blurs of who-knows-what, and voila... money maker.

Hollywood rarely gets these things right but they keep trying.

Seth Rogan as The Green Hornet? What, was Will Ferrell busy?

Isn't, "going against the grain" kind of your life’s mantra?

I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"

This movie is to showcase a serious side of Rogan with some comedic interjection. It will also showcase some excellent martial arts stunts & fill some actors who've been falling off lately, pockets.

In the old Green Hornet of the mid 60's, Bruce Lee was the action figure & Van Williams was the straight man. He played a sort of one dimensional tall dark strong man type.

Seth Rogan had a hand in writing the screen play so it is a very great chance of a lot of comedic situations. I think he will reflect from his interpretations of the comic series, which might be better than the TV series. The Bruce Lee part will be hard to emulate but with today's special effects & a gifted martial artist, the film may do better than people expect.
