Well, we'll see what we can do with this Chestnut. Hopefully we won't all go into "sugar shock" from the discussion. Let a fellah know.

I voted for A Christmas Carol. You gotta love Scrooge. A penny pinching miser who see's the error of his ways just in time for X-mas. And ghosts, cool ghosts.

There's just something primitively evil and dark about that Rudolph claymation flick...The threat of death, the evil monster, the Island of Misfit toys...the anger of being a castout...hell, it's a bit creepy...can't-stop-watching creepy. Made back in the day when writers didn't pull their punches too!

On a side note...what in the blue hell is with all the references to PURPLE cats in peoples' signatures these days?

HAHAHAHA It's a long story. But if you don't mind reading incredably, mind numbing, stupid threads, here it is.

Tried to warn you. But back on topic.

Which version of the Christmas Carol are we voting on here? The original, the remake, the remake of the remake with Captain Pikard, he one with Daffy Duck? How many did I leave out?

Yes, I suggest the following pop-up warning for other innocent surfers such as ourselves:

[clears throat] Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo,
"There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man."
Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo,
"It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity."
Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo,
"It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge."
Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo,
"This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone."
Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo, Do dee doo doo, ....

What you guys missed on this thread were a few PM's Flo & I had going back & forth. They went something like this:

Flo - I can't help this guy. (edited)
Me - Come on, he's not that bad.
Flo - OK, but I don't think it will help
Me - OK, you were right. Nevermind.

Worfster, I luv ya man, but the lack of A Christmas Story in the poll is an oversight worthy of a flogging by 100 wet noodles. I double dog dare ya to find a better family Christmas movie. In light of its glaring absence, I'm voting for Charlie Brown. Great music and Linus' speech is one of the best out there.

The original Miracle on 34th Street received my vote. The story overcame cynicism. The lead couple fell in love. Santa was proven to exist. It all ended happily. I need more happy endings.

    Angry Bring Forth The Prisoner!!!!!

Okay, okay..... how could I forget my "Trusty Red Ryder Air Rifle"? I love that flick, I blew it I screwed up. Throw me in the dungeon with Scott Farcas and the other green teethed toadies. Stick my tongue to the flag pole. Destroy my "valuable free prize". Arrrgh... I am sooo ashamed at this oversight. There's 4 flicks I'd a moved off the list for "A Christmas Story". Arrrrgh... (whip)... argggh (flog)..... moan (spindle) .... whimper (mutilate).....

Bring out the whips, chains and shackles. Here ye' here ye'. We are gathered today to begin the trial for the once highly respected Worfster. All petitions will be heard in order. Submit you grievances to the town clerk. Proceedings will begin shortly.

No lie. That is how I first saw it, blew me completely away. The DVD without 3D is also really good, but the 3D is the icing on the cake. I am going to post a review this disc in the next day or two.

I keep telling my friends that this isn't just a movie, its an experience.
