    A few recent movies
I have not had the chance to watch too many lately since I was away on my 25th anniversary trip but here are a few.

Secretariat - Typical Disney film done good for family style. Interesting to know the back story and history of how the horse was born and the coin toss.

Green Hornet - This was cute but I had forgotten it was a Seth Rogan movie. He did not quite fit the part since this was not a stoner movie. Kato steels the show, just as Bruce Lee did in the real show.

3:10 to Yuma - Russell Crowe plays an outlaw being escorted to a prison train as his gang tries to free him. This one is a little older but one great movie if you like westerns at all. I just watched it for the second time the other night and enjoyed it as much as the first.

I have not seen Yuma or Secretariat, but I own The Green Hornet in 3D. You are right about Seth, and doubly right about Kato. He steals the movie easily.

The 3D transfer is mediocre at best. The 3D emphasizes depth more than things popping out at the screen. Images look soft, cramped, and sometimes a little flat. Certainly not of the quality of Alice in Wonderland, but not nearly as bad as The Last Airbender.

I also recently watched the MJ movie This Is It.

As much as I hate who he turned into, this movie showed a different side of him I was unaware of. The highlight of the whole flick is when Orianthi does her solos. She is one kick ass guitarist for sure. The rest of his band was all top notch also.

It also had some of the best audio I have heard from a concert video. Bass had excellent punch and deep bass reach, and the sound field was absolutely huge in every direction.

I am not sure anymore that he turned into anything other than something most folks could not understand. They never proved that he was a pedophile after 5 investigation done by local and government authorities. While it is a little weird he likes to play with kids, that does not make him a pedophile or a sexual predator. Michael was a musical genius, and consummate performer, and this movie shows this big time.

I worked with Michaels musical director on several recording projects in Los Angeles.

And this was just the rehearsal takes and tapes. The real show would have proved to be spectacular whether you like him or hate him

I'm coming to that too. If you think about it, he was robbed of his childhood and whatever else. Who doesn't just want to be a kid again? A little over the top maybe but worse goes on in churches these days.
