I would add in no order:

Uma Thurman - grace beauty and a willingness to take a variety of roles and do them well. Her performances in Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction were excellent and I am hoping she gets that role of a lifetime - she could pull it off.

Marissa Tomei - equally at home with comic turns like My Cousin Vinny but quite startlingly raw in "In the Bedroom"

Jodie Foster - Maybe an obvious choice but that's no crime

Charlize Theron - Monster - perhaps the finest performance by an actress in film history - if not it ranks right up there.

Hilary Swank - 2 Oscars - enough said.

Juliette Binoche - beautiful, brilliant in Blue - but breathtakingly bodacious in everything.

Rachel Weisz - Constant Gardner, Sunshine - not a lot of evidence to her ability quite yet but she is very very good.

Kate Winslet - the Reader showed a new level for Kate - and her prior level was already ahead of most.

And maybe lastly and perhaps bestly -
Cate Blanchett - one of if not the best actress around at disappearing - she really is a chameleon. She's played Katherine Hepburn, Bob Dylan and an Elf - wow. She could also have been nominated for Oscar and Lucinda - which unfortunately nobody saw.
